Ironworks Update January 2025: Welcome Josh Kennedy
I want to begin by thanking every one of you who has supported us since Ironwork's inception. Whether you have bought one or more of our three books, listened to the podcast, or read one of our articles, we thank you. Without your kind support, this work would not be what it is and what it is growing to be. As with most works when they grow, there are changes in life situations that cause changes in lineups. With that being said, Matt McBrayer, co-founder of Ironworks, is going to be leaving the work to focus on another great project and a great personal opportunity. I am grateful for my dear friend and all he has contributed to this work since its inception. I look forward to the potential of Matt working with Ironworks again in the future in some aspect.
Ironworks is not going anywhere. After an initial discussion with Matt, we both agreed that there was an individual we could both see as a great addition for the future of this organization. After a discussion with this brother, I am happy to announce Josh Kennedy will be joining me as my partner in this work.
Josh has been full time preaching since 2021 after graduating from the Memphis School of Preaching. He has worked with congregations in Arkansas and Tennessee as well as doing fill-in work with congregations across the south. He and his wife, Brooke, are currently located at the Cookeville church of Christ in Cookeville, TN where he has worked since 2023. I met Josh in 2022 working with him at the Foundations Camp and we have a great bond in the faith. He is a man I trust and value. He and Brooke are two of my great friends.
In this transition, Josh will begin writing on the blog on this website which will add to the amount of content we will produce substantively in 2025. He also will spearhead our social media presence on Instagram, X, and Facebook. There are discussions of future works currently that we look forward to sharing with you soon. Thank you again for your continued support. We encourage you to follow us on social media and subscribe on our website.
